Science - Co-ordinated (Double) 

Co-ordinated Science IGCSE is a qualification that encompasses Biology, Chemistry and Physics.

The three subject areas are taught by subject specialists but are examined together at the end of the course.

Co-ordinated Science is a dual award subject – it is worth two IGCSE grades. At the end of the course, students will be awarded two matching IGCSE grades from A* to G.

At the end of the course, you will take three exams.

• Paper 2 is a 45 minute multiple choice paper covering all aspects of the course.
• Paper 4 is a 2 hour written exam consisting of short-answer and structured questions. As in paper 2, this paper covers all aspects of the course.
• Paper 5 is a practical test. It is two hours long and will be taken under examination conditions in one of the school labs. It will assess your practical skills including your ability to follow instructions, take measurements and record results, analyse data and plan and evaluate experiments.

This course also enables students to study the separate sciences at A Level.
