Wainwright Walking Club at St Bees School

One of our newest and most successful ventures here at St Bees is our Wainwright Walking Club.

Introduced by Mr Silk in September 2021, the Wainwright Club aims to conquer all 214 fells in the Lake District that are featured in Alfred Wainwright's famous guidebooks - "A Pictorial Guide to the Lakeland Fells".

Walks take place on a Sunday, and all students and staff are encouraged to join. It doesn't matter if you're a seasoned walking pro or have never stepped foot on a fell in your life - it's a fantastic opportunity to explore the incredible beauty of the Lake District... which is right on our doorstep!
