We were delighted to see the inspiring Dr William Frankland, “Grandfather of Allergy” and former pupil of St Bees School, on BBC2’s “The Great British Menu” last night. He was interviewed by one of the chefs, and thanked for his extraordinary contribution to medicine and health as part of the #NHSat70 celebrations.
We captured a brief clip here from the programme, and his final words are worthy of sharing with many generations of St Bees School pupils over the next 400+ years. What an incredible man – still exercising every day at 106. You can read more about his extraordinary life in the Imperial College Article here (thank you to Darryl Davies for the original share of this on Facebook).
