STEAM Forest School
Over the next few weeks we have children from many countries attending our STEAM Forest School, as part of Summerfest.
The STEAM Forest School sees students from all over the world (China, Spain, France, the Ukraine and the UK) who have come together to develop an understanding of environmental issues.
They do this using the aspects of STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics). STEAM education fuses all of these concepts together, showing children how they work together in harmony. The students have been building animal shelters and dens, leading bug hunts, playing forest games and even taking part in flower orienteering.
The international aspect of the Forest School is just as important, everybody involved has the opportunity to make friends from all over the world and discover new cultures – through our unique cultural exchange programme. At St Bees, we mix the West with the East – with international groups from all over, coming together to work towards a common goal.
At the weekend, students go to Windermere to visit The World of Beatrix Potter. Not only do they have fun in the Lakes’ best attraction – they’re able to tour the beautiful Lake District National Park too!
Our newly refurbished boarding house is now full, with all 52 beds in use and it’s absolutely fantastic to see. The students and staff really are having the best time.
We’ve still got boarding and day places left – so do give us a call on 01946 828000 or visit stbees.schoolactivity.co.uk to book!
P.S. If you like it this summer, there are still some boarding places available this September!
